Honor wide foldable rumored for January with periscope zoom
Leakers say the phone will have a 200MP camera, a 7.6-inch inner screen, and a battery over 7,000 mAh.

Rumor — 9to5Google reports that according to multiple leakers, Honor is preparing a wide-format foldable phone for a January release. The device is expected to compete directly with Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Apple's iPhone Duo.
Leaker Digital Chat Station says the Honor foldable will have a 5.5-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch inner display. It is also said to pack a battery over 7,000 mAh and a 200-megapixel main camera with a periscope zoom lens. That last feature matters because both the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and iPhone Duo are reported to lack a telephoto lens, putting Honor on par with Xiaomi's 18 Fold in that area.
A separate leaker, Smart Pikachu, claims the launch will happen in January. It is not yet known whether the phone will be released globally or only in China.
Honor's previous foldable, the Magic V6, was one of the better releases of 2026. If you are in the market for a foldable and can wait, this rumored model might be worth holding out for, especially if you want a telephoto camera that current rivals lack.
