Switch 2 bundles top Tom's Guide Prime Day gaming deals
Tom's Guide rounds up 23 gaming deals from Amazon's October sale, from Switch 2 bundles to budget PC gear.

Tom's Guide reports that Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days, also called October Prime Day, is live with 23 gaming deals it has picked out. PS5 games and accessories start at $6, Xbox Series X games and accessories start at $9, and gaming laptops, monitors and keyboards start at $36.
Switch 2 bundles
The headline console deal in Tom's Guide's roundup is the Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World Bundle at $549. Tom's Guide says it includes the console, a digital download of Mario Kart World and three months of Nintendo Switch Online, and that buying each part separately costs $37 more. The bundle was $499 before the recent Switch 2 price increase.
Tom's Guide also lists another Switch 2 bundle, built around Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, at $529. That is a $27 saving over separate purchases, and it is a pre-order releasing Oct. 22. The guide notes the standalone Nintendo Switch Sports Resort game is down from $59 to $49, another pre-order for Oct. 22.
Tom's Guide also highlights The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which is being remade for Switch 2 and launches Nov. 5, 2026. Amazon is taking $10 off physical copies, according to Tom's Guide. The guide also notes Pokemon Legends Z-A for Switch 2 is $49, down from $70, and recommends the Samsung P9 microSD Express Card, a 256GB card with up to 800 MB/s transfer speeds, discounted by $10.
PS5 and Xbox picks
For PlayStation, the guide highlights God of War Ragnarök and The Last of Us Part 1, plus a Logitech Driving Force wheel that works with PS5, PS4 and PC. The Samsung 990 Pro 2TB, which Tom's Guide calls the best PS5 SSD, is close to half price. The guide says it saw that drive as low as $119 before tariffs and memory prices climbed, and it probably will not get that low again soon.
On the Xbox side, Tom's Guide also favors the Xbox Core Wireless Controller, which works with PC, Android and iOS. Tom's Guide also lists a kit that swaps AA batteries for USB-C charging. The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5, designed for Xbox, took the top spot in Tom's Guide's best gaming headset guide.
Tom's Guide also names Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, a remake of the 2013 original, as a good pick for newcomers and veterans.
PC and accessories
For PC gamers, Tom's Guide picks the ASUS TUF Gaming F16 with a 16:10 display, an Intel Core i5-13450HX, an RTX 5050, 16GB of DDR5 RAM and a 512GB SSD for just over $1,000. The Gigabyte Aero 16X is $400 off and packs an RTX 5070, an AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 CPU, 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB SSD.
Tom's Guide also calls an Asus Chromebook one of the best value gaming laptops, with a 14-inch 144Hz display, RGB keyboard, and access to GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming. It notes stock appears low.
Tom's Guide's accessory picks include the Acer Wired Gaming Headset at $29, the Redragon K673 Pro keyboard, the Corsair Scimitar Elite mouse with 16 programmable buttons, the Razer BlackShark V2 X headset, the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 controller for Switch, Switch 2 and PC, and the Razer Iskur V2 chair.
The deals require an Amazon Prime membership. The full list, with details on every pick, is in Tom's Guide's roundup.
