Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses get audio balance, turn-by-turn navigation
9to5Google reports two updates: version 129 adds speaker balance and mono playback, and version 128 adds walking directions and spatial audio.

9to5Google reports that Meta is rolling out two updates for its Ray-Ban smart glasses. One focuses on audio, the other adds walking navigation.
Audio changes in version 129
The newest system update, version 129, lets you balance audio between the two speakers. You can adjust the left and right levels to suit your hearing, or set both speakers to mono playback instead of stereo. This is useful if one ear hears differently than the other.
Navigation from version 128
Version 128, which started rolling out earlier this month, brings turn-by-turn walking directions. The glasses pull your location from your phone. You can share a route from your mapping app to Meta AI, and the glasses will guide you step by step.
That update also includes spatial audio support and additional anti-tampering measures that disable the camera if the privacy LED has been tampered with.
What to do
If you own a pair of Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, check the Meta AI app for updates. The navigation features from version 128 are broadly available now. The audio balance and mono playback in version 129 are still rolling out, so you may see it in the coming days.
