Prime Day Smart Home Deals: 50% Off on Top Picks

Wired's top recommendations for Prime Day smart home deals, from security cameras to robot vacuums, many at half price.

In its Prime Day deals roundup, Wired highlights smart home devices with discounts up to 50% off. Here are the categories and picks.

Security cameras

For outdoor security cameras, Wired recommends models from Eufy. These cameras record up to 4K video and use on-device AI to detect people, pets, vehicles, and faces. Footage is stored locally on a hub with expandable storage up to 16 TB. The cameras run on solar panels. Wired notes that the AI isn't perfect and the frame rate is capped at 15 fps, but there's no subscription.

Smart home speakers

Amazon's own speakers and displays see big Prime Day discounts, but recent price increases have made the deals less impressive than in past years, says Wired. The Echo Spot works as a smart alarm clock, while the Echo Show 11 is a display suitable for the kitchen counter.

Blinds and curtains

SwitchBot devices attach to existing blinds or curtains and add Bluetooth control. They come with solar panels and a light sensor that closes shades when the sun is strong. Wired notes that voice and remote control require a SwitchBot Hub Mini or Hub 2.

Lawn and floor care

Wired recommends the Anthbot robot lawn mower as a budget option, with mapping for multiple zones and scheduled mowing. For inside, the Shark robot vacuum is a mop-and-vacuum combo with an extendable arm to reach edges.

Pet and wildlife gear

The Netvue smart bird feeder has a 1080p camera and AI bird identification, with a lifetime subscription option, says Wired. For cat owners, the Petkit automatic litter tray is roomy, cleans effectively, and includes a camera to watch your pet.
