Galaxy Watch 9 drops to $319 on Samsung's site

The newest Galaxy Watch is $60 off on Samsung's online store, while Amazon's Prime Day price stays at full retail.

The Galaxy Watch 9, Samsung's latest smartwatch, is available for $319 on the company's own online shop. That's $60 off the regular price. The 44mm version is $349, also $60 off. On Amazon, the same watch is $379 with no discount for Prime Day, according to 9to5Google.

Last month the watch dropped to $299, but the $319 price is still worth buying, especially with the option to trade in a Galaxy Watch 8 and save an additional $150.

The Galaxy Watch 9 includes improved health tracking, One UI 9, better performance, and Gemini raise-to-talk, a feature that was previously only on the Pixel Watch series. It also gets five years of software updates, a first for a Samsung watch.

Verdict: Buy. It's a good price for a near-current model with top features and long-term support. The $60 off is a solid discount for a watch that is only a few months old.

If you don't need the latest, the Galaxy Watch 8 is on Amazon for $219, an even lower price for a still-capable watch.

9to5Google reports the deal's end date hasn't been announced, so it's best to act while it lasts.
