Yeti Coolers and Cups Up to $100 Off for Prime Day

Yeti gear rarely goes on sale, but Amazon Prime Day has changed that. Wired reports discounts of up to $100 on coolers, cups and bags that its reviews team has tested. The outlet warns that Yeti price cuts almost always sell out quickly.

The cooler deals

Wired's lead cooler tester calls the Yeti Tundra Haul the team's favorite cooler overall. The smaller version of that model is included in the sale, and Wired predicts it will sell out. The tradeoff is weight: the Haul can get heavy, while the Roadie 48 may be a better pick if portability matters more. Wired says the Haul is tough and holds ice for days.

The Roadie 48 also gets a mention. The tester has carried the Roadie 32 on nearly every trip and likes the larger version's design. It keeps ice for days, and the lid and latches are great, though the handle can feel short on rough terrain. The lime color on sale is expected to disappear fast.

For smaller loads, Wired highlights flip-top coolers with a shoulder strap. They work for beach lunches, tailgates or kayak trips, and are a portable option when you don't need a big cooler.

Bags and cups

Wired also likes a Yeti lunch bag that isn't in its buying guide yet. The tester describes it as a good beach cooler or picnic companion for one or two people, with a flap closure and comfortable carry even when overpacked. Wired says the price is the lowest it has seen.

On the drinkware side, most Yeti Rambler insulated cups and mugs are on sale. Wired calls the 20-ounce Rambler the most approachable version. At $20, the outlet considers it a no-brainer travel mug and a possible gift.

What to know

These are Prime Day discounts, available through Yeti, Amazon and Dick's, according to Wired. The outlet's advice is to act fast if you want one, because the deals rarely last long.
