The Verge reports that Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra are on sale at their lowest prices yet during October Prime Day. The Z Fold 8 with 256GB storage is $1,549.99 at Amazon, originally $1,899.99. That's $100 below its previous best sale price. The Z Fold 8 Ultra starts at $1,699.99, originally $2,099.99, and $150 cheaper than its prior low.

According to The Verge, the Z Fold 8 is the closest Android equivalent to the upcoming iPhone Duo in the US. Their reviewer Dominic Preston found its small passport-style design comfortable and praised the 4:3 inner screen for reading and watching content. The Z Fold 8 is not the first such foldable, but The Verge calls it the most polished.

The Z Fold 8 Ultra is an iterative upgrade over the Z Fold 7. The Verge says it improves on displays, cameras, chipset and has an almost-invisible crease. It's the specs powerhouse, with camera quality as the key differentiator.

**Verdict for the Z Fold 8**: Buy. It's at its biggest discount yet, and The Verge says it's an awesome phone. **Verdict for the Z Fold 8 Ultra**: Buy if you want the best cameras and specs. Both are at record lows, but act fast these deals are tied to Prime Day.
