iOS 27.2 Adds Controls to Hide Messages Suggestions

A new settings screen in the beta lets you turn off individual Suggested Actions, or hide ones you never use.

Reported. MacRumors reports that iOS 27.2 beta 3 adds new controls for Suggested Actions in Messages. Suggested Actions are the context-aware buttons that appear when, say, someone asks for a photo or sends an invitation. The feature was pulled from the final iOS 27 release and is back in the beta.

Code explorer pdfu found the new settings screen, according to MacRumors. It lists separate toggles for Add to Calendar, Add to Reminders, Add to Notes, Show in Maps, and Flights and Packages. There is also a "Hide Unused Suggestions" switch. When it's on, Messages stops showing suggestions you haven't used for 30 days. You can re-enable any hidden suggestion by toggling its switch off and back on, per pdfu's screenshot.

That's the useful part. Instead of turning off Suggested Actions entirely, you can keep the actions you actually use and hide the ones you don't. If you've ever hit "Add to Reminders" by accident, this gives you a way to clean that up.

Bottom line: If you live in Messages, this is a reason to pay attention to the 27.2 update. If you've never noticed Suggested Actions, you can ignore it. The feature only shows up when it thinks it can help, and now you get to decide whether it's right.
