MagSafe 3 Cable Firmware Updated to 3.2.0
Apple last week released firmware version 3.2.0 for the USB-C to MagSafe 3 Cable, but hasn't published any release notes.

Reported by MacRumors. Apple has released a firmware update for the MagSafe 3 charging cable used with MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. It's the first update since February 2023. The new version is 3.2.0, up from 3.1.12.
As MacRumors reports, there are no release notes, so the contents are unknown. The update installs automatically when the cable is connected to a Mac and a power adapter. There's no manual way to apply it. Apple also doesn't show the cable's firmware version in System Information, so you can't check if it's already installed.
This is a silent, automatic update. You don't need to do anything. If you have a MagSafe 3 cable, just keep using it normally. The update will happen in the background. There's no reason to wait or worry. Whatever changes are in version 3.2.0, they're likely minor bug fixes after more than a year without an update.
