Apple Music Gets a New Logo

The logo first appeared in the Apple Music Hall announcement last month, and now beta versions of iOS and macOS show it as the new service icon.

MacRumors reports that Apple is rolling out a new logo for its Apple Music service. The redesigned icon appears in the latest beta builds of both macOS 27.2 and iOS 27.2.

The logo is the same one Apple used last month in materials for the Apple Music Hall, a new venue in Los Angeles. At the time, the company didn't say whether it was a permanent branding change. The beta sightings, MacRumors says, make it clear this is the new official logo for the streaming service.

Beta testers spotted the change in both operating systems over the weekend. Apple is expected to release the final versions of 27.2 later this month, shortly after the iPhone Duo launch. The new logo should appear on all devices when those updates arrive.

The logo change is cosmetic. Your music library stays the same.

You don't need to do anything. When you update your phone or Mac, the Apple Music icon will look different. The app and your songs are unchanged.
